Education,

Menstruation is often a difficult subject to talk about, no matter which part of the world you live in.

Jo and Molly encourage everyone to talk openly about menstrual health and break down the barriers that lead to confusion, worry and undiagnosed medical conditions.

Education,

Molly visits rural villages in West Bengal to talk to girls and women about good menstrual health practices and encourages them to talk openly with her and each other.

It’s also important for boys and young men to understand menstruation and the issues that girls and women face. They are not discouraged from attending these workshops.

Typically, a few women purchase JoPads from Molly at these events. They give feedback to the other women in their village, who go on to place orders directly from Molly knowing they can have confidence in the product.

Education.

Molly also visits High Schools and talks to students about the importance of educating themselves in safe menstrual health, and encourages them to ask questions.

Menstruation is one of the biggest barriers to girls in India completing their education. Many are not aware that it’s a normal part of life for women and are ill-prepared for the change.

In time, we hope to include more boys and young men in these conversations.
